Nansen: Integrating Blockchain Data from SportFi and Ethereum

Nansen, a blockchain analytics platform, has announced the integration of SportFi blockchain Chiliz and Ethereum layer 2 zkSync, providing users with on-chain data analytics and insights. With this integration, users will have access to a high-level overview of both ecosystems and the ability to run their own queries for insights from the raw data. The integration will unlock data insights into Chiliz, the blockchain behind numerous fan tokens used by sports teams worldwide. Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz and Socios, believes that this collaboration will deepen understanding of the Chiliz ecosystem and help drive user adoption and growth of the SportFi ecosystem. Chiliz’s blockchain has a market capitalization of $1.2 billion and has attracted major football clubs like Manchester City and PSG.

Nansen’s latest version of the analytics platform, Nansen 2, reveals an average of 2,100 daily active addresses on the Chiliz blockchain. The top five entities on-chain over the past week include Manchester City, Binance, Turkish club Trabzonspor, Galatasaray, and PSG. Another integration on Nansen is with Ethereum scaling protocol zkSync, a major zero-knowledge proof rollup, which processes over a million transactions daily for over 350,000 addresses. Omar Azhar, Head of Business Development at Matter Labs, believes that the integration with Nansen will be valuable for the zkSync ecosystem and the wider Web3 space by making on-chain data actionable and easy to understand.

Nansen is known for its wallet-labeling and blockchain analytics. It scans nearly a petabyte of data daily from various blockchains it monitors. The platform’s integration with Chiliz and zkSync will provide cryptocurrency users with valuable insights into these ecosystems, allowing them to make informed decisions and understand trends. The integration may contribute to the growth and adoption of Chiliz and SportFi by providing developers and industry stakeholders with a legitimate layer-1 solution and a long-term vision.

  1. I highly doubt this integration will drive user adoption. It’s just wishful thinking.
